Laminating Tips: Industry standard specification for 5 mil laminating pouches is 5 mil thickness on each flap for a total of 10 mils added to your paper and 1 mil equals 1/1000th of an inch and 25 microns metric. The industry calls these laminating pouches yet they are sealed on only one edge. They should be called laminating folders. For customers with adjustable temperature laminators who are trying a new brand, we recommend lowering the temperature approximately 25 degrees F for the first sheet or two.
